First Day of SCHOOL!!

The boys went grocery shopping with me and got a treat for being good...remember these?!

Ahhhh yes school has started once again! Elijah is in the BIG boy hallway this year and his teacher is Mrs. Pantenburg. I coached her son in basketball, they are a nice family so I am excited to volunteer in his classroom this year! Elijah's goal this school year is to make good friends.
Ian has Mrs. Annala this year and she seems like she will be great! Ian has Selma in his class for the third year in a row...we tease him that she is his girlfriend, he just rolls his eyes and says whatever....has yet to deny it though! He is excited for the school year and wants harder homework! HAHA His goal is to make good friends too and to do his best.

They wanted to wear their new BSU shirts Grandma Thomas got them when she was visiting this summer! After Robert gave them and the girls father's blessings Gweny said, "Yeah I'm bigger, I can go to school now"! HEE so cute then she turns to me and says, "Your turn momma"! Thanks babe for being worthy to give us blessings, we love you!
I am not at ALL into art projects, mainly I am just lazy.....but today I thought, why not! So we did some blow art. The girls had a great time!

 Mine
Look at her red face! HAHA she really wanted to splatter that paint!
Then they rode around the house on their horses!

Last day on the River

August 28, 2012

We wanted to head up to the river one last time before school started and our good friends the Anderson's were able to come with! We were a little worried at first because of the fires that were happening up there and we didn't know how bad the smoke would be. Lucky for us about an hour after we got to our favorite swimming hole the smoke lifted and we were able to have a great time!
The river was colder this time, so I was chicken to go in, but the kids didn't seem to mind...including Kordell! Em and I did a little reading and sun bathing too, while the kids made pools, dared each other to go underwater, and Elijah, Austin, and Kai even jumped off some rocks! We were up there for about 6 hours, had lunch and dinner and had us a fun time! Thanks for coming with, Anderson's!!
