Getting caught up!

The boys found my MP3 player and were having a blast. Here they are meditating to church music!

Adeline loves her little sister...Gweny was out chillin' in the yard and Addy looks out the window, opens the door and goes and lays down by her and just starts talking to her! My heart melts when I see moments like these!

Gweny had a fever Thursday night and all day Friday. It was between 100 and 102 and wouldn't go down. We finally got some motrin and that did the trick. She was back to her normal happy self the next day. Poor thing. Addy was sad for her baby sister.

Gwendolyn 6 months

Ok so I have A LOT of catching up to do. We were out of town visiting my mom and dad and I had 9 photo shoots!! So fun. Then I had to come home and edit them all!

This picture was taken before we left. I can't believe Gweny is 6 months already! Here are some things she is doing:

*sitting up

*getting on her hands and knee

*still teething

*shakes her head no no

*Happy 95% of the time

*goes to bed BY HERSELF(that is huge in this home!)

*eating cereal and food

*17 pounds

*still rocks back and forth

*take 2-3 naps a day

*Loves when her brothers and sister plays peek a boo with her

*is starting to like the bath more and more

YES I TURNED 30!!

WOW turning 30 ROCKED!!! LOL I don't know what all those other ladies were talking about....thank you for all the birthday wishes... I.AM.LOVED.

Thanks everyone who came to the BBQ...we had a great time! Here we are singing the song...Ian sang it like this...Happy birthday to you CHA CHA CHA.....LOL it was great!

The boys were out numbered so they had to show their MAD wrestling skills! LOL YEAH RIGHT!!!

Have you seen my car? This is not my car...

So as I was leaving the gym today and I was strolling along headed to my car...making sure the kids don't get ran over...I get to my car and wonder why it won't unlock. I FINALLY realize that it was NOT my car and started laughing.....my kids just look at me and started laughing too. Adeline says "mom you are silly, that's not our car!" I asked Ian why he didn't tell me it wasn't our car (kids are usually more observant) and he just laughed and said I thought it was our car!

Laugh at yourself sometimes!

What have we been up to?

All the little goslings are out! We headed down to feed them our bread storage from the winter. Poor Adeline got attacked my one of the BIG white swans, thought her arm was bread.

We just moved into a house about a week ago and this is one of the first things the kids wanted to do! I don't blame them.....NICE!

I can't get enough of these.....MmMmMmmmmmMmmmmMmmmm Mint oreos.......ok I better stop or I'm going to want some more!
Gwendolyn has started to sit up and boy does she LOVE it! I would too after all those months of laying down. She still has no teeth...weird! All my others had at least 2 teeth by now!

So the kids came and showed me their monkey faces.....nice!

Then I told the monkeys I was going to get them so they better hide and this is where they ended up!

Little sayings

We were driving home last week and we passed a store I ALWAYS shop at for the kids. Adeline saw it and said, "Mom I want to go look at some clothes." Leave it to the girls to want to go shopping!

Ian got a batman shirt for his birthday so Adeline wanted to wear hers too. She put it on and came to show me. Mom, "WOW Addy are you bat girl?!" She said, "YEAH bat girl to the rescue"....and then ran around the house with her arms out like she was flying.

Are game in the car lately is SLUG BUG. You know those bugs with the canvas tops?!...When Ian sees one of those he says SLUG BUG with topping!

Elijah comes up to me the other day and says mom what is BOOBIES?! (i have learned to keep my composure) I turned to him and asked what he ment. He said, "well I read it on a sign."(we have a store that is called boobies that we drive by quite often.)

PHEW....it could have been worse....the joys of a reading child!

Monkey Business

Ian turned 5 yesterday and we surprised him with a trip to Monkey Business where he has been DYING to go! We had a great time! Happy Birthday Big guy...we love you!

We had Ian blind folded so it was REALLY a surprise and this was his happy dance after seeing where we ended up!

Elijah had a fun run for his school. This was Elijah's first year doing it and he had a BLAST! Ian was excited because he got to run too.

I only caught a picture of Robert and Ian because I didn't know Elijah had ran ahead!
Adeline wanted to run too so I let her run on the track a bit and just as she started to run the big kids were starting to finish the race and people started to cheer. She thought they were clapping for her and said, "Mom they are clapping for me!" I said yes they are run Addy run, so she ran faster with a HUGE smile on her face!
After the race, I wanted to get Elijah in action since I missed him earlier...they all wanted in on it.
Gweny is soooo smiley...I took this pic to show off the cute headband I made for her!

Elijah had his Science Fair again and this year they are studying life cycles and matter. He chose to do his on the Moon Jellyfish. Good job Elijah we are proud of the great work you do! He drew all those pictures!

We started some ticket jars for the kids...which is working wonderfully(so far) and Adeline decided she wanted to help!
Last weekend was BEAUTIFUL so we decided to hit a park for awhile, man was it nice to get out!

Gwendolyn 4 months

I can't believe she is 4 months already! They say the more kids you have the faster time flys! That's for sure. Here are some of the things she is doing:

*cutting her two bottom teeth
*loves to chew on fabric
*loves to cuddle in blankets
*3 naps a day
*1 feeding at night
*starting to grab for toys, your face, anything....
*laughs
*smiles
*coos
*watches you walk around the room(the kids get a kick out of this one)
*while on her belly she can turn herself in a circle and she does the superman(arms out legs up...kicking)
*sleeps on her belly
*rolls from belly to back and almost back to belly
*has to sit up ALL the time, she rocks back and forth...so cute!
*loves to be held...more than the others did
*14 pounds 11 ounces
*26.25" long
*cries for mommy....already!
*She is such a joy and brings a great spirit into our home. We are so greatful to have her be a part of our family! We love you miss Gweny!

Gwen got her first taste of cereal tonight and she LOVED it! All the other kids made a yucky face but not Gweny! She couldn't get enough of it! Oh and miss Adeline was such a good "helper"!

Easter

G&G Thomas came to visit on their way through to California! Ian got to go on his 5 year old trip to Sea World and Lego Land...he had a BLAST! Thanks for taking him and thanks Jordy for letting them stay and play!

PopFart

So I was sitting at the computer, I do that a lot lately(house hunting)and Adeline comes up to me...
"Mom can I have a popfart?"
A what?
A popfart! It took me a second to get into Adeline lingo and realized she meant poptart! I couldn't stop laughing and she just stood there looking and me like, well....?
I finally got ahold of myself and said, "you mean a poptart? She said yes, a popfart! LOL they make me laugh!

Nothin much goin' on around here as of late......

I love it when my kids fall asleep....on their OWN!!!!

I know I know, Gweny, I feel the same way too!

Friday was so nice, so when I picked up Elijah from school we headed over to the park for a bit!

Adeline loved holding Gwendolyn in the swing...."I'm a big girl..." she would say.

Ian was so proud because he could do the monkey bars all by himself! Good job buddy!

Addy in all her glory!...and I thought the boys were bad at dressing up, Addy definatly dresses up more than they did. The nice thing is, is that she does it on her own!
